Round The World
The Clipper Race is one of the biggest challenges of the natural world and the supreme endurance test. In this biannual event, more than 680 people from all over the globe reject their everyday lives for adventure on the high seas, for the race of their lives.
A record breaking 40,000 miles, on a 70-foot ocean racing yacht, circumnavigating the globe, with no experience required. Normally the domain of seasoned pros, this extreme feat is taken on by novices, in a completely unique race.
This the only place you’ll find vicars and stockbrokers racing against taxi drivers, engineers, students and chief execs. The team's occupations may be different and their ages span generations, but the adventure in their hearts and steely determination in their eyes identifies them proudly as Clipper Race crew. It will take the crews, who are racing one leg, several or the whole circuit, eleven months to complete, visiting up to 16 global ports and crossing the world’s largest oceans.
The race has an audience in excess of 4 billion people in more than 200 countries. Each race showcases brands and builds international trade, tourism and business links between partners and host destinations.
