Clipper Events Industry Series regattas are contested on our fleet of identical Clipper 68s, the yachts that become the focus of the world’s media when they take part in the biennial Clipper Round the World Yacht Race.
It is the largest fleet of its kind in the world and offers companies the opportunity to engage and build relationships with clients and employees in a memorable and fun way.
The Clipper Race fleet offer a thrilling sailing experience for experienced and novice sailors alike. Skippered by professionals who have either already sailed around the world or are preparing to do so, your team will receive two hours of training before taking control of the yacht, ensuring everyone on board is fully involved.
The day starts with a relaxed breakfast in Gunwharf Quays, allowing guests to meet their sailing team and skipper. After breakfast teams are taken to the yachts and given a safety briefing and are introduced to the basic principles of sailing. The yachts will then depart from Portsmouth and each team will begin tack, gybe and race training, learning how to get the most out of these fantastic yachts and how to work as a cohesive sailing team. Lunch is served on board before a series of races against the other yachts begins in the afternoon. During the racing, skippers and mates will take a back seat whilst being at hand to offer strategic racing advice and ensure everyone’s safety. At the end of the day all the yachts and teams return to Gunwharf Quays for the prizegiving followed by drinks and a buffet.
Clipper Events is delighted to welcome Nautica Watches back for the fourth consecutive year as the Clipper Events Industry Series Official Timekeeper. Each member of the winning team will receive one of these stunning timepieces.
